The lore of Valorant still hasn’t been released, but Jett is our closest connection to the world of Runeterra from League of Legends. Jett has these throwing knives that will refresh after she gets kills, allowing her to keep well-stocked if she has amazing aim. The whirling blades of a warrior are integral to the culture of Ionia, one of the most mystical lands in League of Legends. The Ionian warriors use the art of magic and spirits to help protect their home from invaders like the Noxians. Yasuo, Karma and Master Yi are all Ionian and try their darndest to represent the mystical island.
Irelia probably feels the closest to Jett, since they both swing around sharp metal blades to deal tons of damage. It’s unclear yet if there is any actual connection since Valorant is set years in the future. Could Jett be some sort of Ionian prodigy who keeps the culture of her people intact or does she just happen to be a ninja with good style choice?
Valorant Jett Abilities
Cloudburst- Throw out a cloud of fog that obscures vision on impact. Hold down the ability button to bend the cloud’s in-flight trajectory.
Updraft- After a brief wind up, propel yourself upwards.
Tailwind- Immediately dash a short distance in the direction you’re moving.
Bladestorm- Arm yourself with several deadly throwing knives that deal moderate damage and kill on headshots. Scoring a kill restores all daggers. Left click throws a single dagger. Right click throws all remaining daggers in a short-ranged burst.
The Valorant closed beta starts early next week. If you aren’t a streamer or content creator, the only way to get a code is to watch designated streams and hope for a chance to win. We will be covering Valorant as much as possible during the beta, testing out weapons and looking like FPS amateurs.
