Valorant Release Date and Time
Valorant will be available to play on June 2 at 8 a.m. EST in North America, according to the game’s Twitter. The first episode will be called “Ignition,” and you can expect a new Battle Pass and the latest Agent Reyna to join the fight.
If you haven’t already created a Riot Games account, you should do that before tomorrow. If you’ve already played League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra or Teamfight Tactics on mobile, you should already have a Riot Games account that will let you log in when the game launches. If you don’t, you can make one ahead of schedule for League of Legends but it should also work for Valorant.
The client for Valorant is not yet available for download, unfortunately. Those that had closed beta access should just be able to update and launch when the game is live, but that’s still unclear.
When the Valorant servers do open, expect a little lag and cumbersome downloads in the first few hours. There will be thousands of people trying to play the game and see what all the fuss is about, so that could slow the servers down. Once Riot gets a handle on the situation and things start to calm down, you should be able to play the five-versus-five shooter with little lag.
When you do download Valorant, you’ll have the anti-cheat “Riot Vanguard” open on your computer at all times. The software can only be turned off manually, even when the game isn’t running. If you experience lag or other problems while the program is open, it can be closed down or uninstalled. If you do uninstall it from your computer, you’ll need to reinstall it to play the game again.
How excited are you to finally play Valorant and test it out? Tell us in the comments.
